First of all let me thank everybody for your Good Wishes on our 6oth W.A. I am now walking in the same circles as jno i.e. after a phone call to Buckingham Palace (made by daughter) we have received a Congratulatory Letter and Photo of the Queen and also one from the Governor -General of Australia and one from our Prime Minister on the occasion of Our Diamond...

Woofy, my aunty lived in a very old house down Lavender Hill.

We chose Norfolk simply because we loved it. We tossed in our jobs and just upped and moved here. Mr LL spent a year demolishing and rebuilding our cottage (with me as the labourer) and I worked full time to bring the money in. I could never do it now!! Still love North Norfolk, but as a second choice I would go up to North York moors.

Mr LL's sister lives near Taunton, my uncle had a house in Wells until recent years, and my cousin flits between Cheddar and Perth (Australia) although she has now chosen to sell her house in Perth and return to Cheddar for good.

Shaney we the fun fair still in the Pleasure Gardens during your years in Wimbledon.

Funny, it's a small world isn't it.

Talking of the N.Y. Moors, I have booked a holiday cottage just outside Pickering at the end of September for my yearly N.Y. fix!!

Hello again. didn't go out straight out after lunch cos of the thunder storm but they (ntl aka Virgin) came at 2.10 and it took them all of 2 mins to do the job. Could have done it meself!! :~) Off out now byeee! x
Haven't seen a thunderstorm around here for what seems like for ever. I love good thunderstorm. (Not just now though, my washing is out there)
Yes lottie North yokshire moors for me too, if I had a choice, pref a little village.
Idyllic Neti. Little village like in Heartbeat!! (I hate that programme)
More like The vet series!
That was a washout of an afternoon & quite a storm, even Charlie barked at the thunder & he doesn't normally bother. He makes me laugh when he stands in the garden & barks at the rain, I think he feels that's how to make it go away...if only. He's a great early warning system if the washing's out though.

Well I'd only been back on a few minutes before my back was up after reading some of last night's cb stuff...why.. oh why.. oh why do they bang on when a thread's been removed? It's gone, get over it, grrrr. And some of them who rattle on about editors not doing their job, blah blah, aren't here half the time anyway...well claim not to be. And if they stopped replying to the trolls there wouldn't be any. Jeez, many thousands of members & they still think it's all about a dozen of themselves.
There, rant over, haha...it's the stormy weather, brings out the worst in me.
ps It's high time Sweedie came back
Thunder and lighting here too .Stopped now though and my washing is soaked and sopping .
It's alright for some ...I've just had to stuff an enormous courgette :)
I don't know what my bro puts on his veg but it's nearly the size of a football ..lol
...stuff an enormous courgette where shaney?
Well if I don't say it Vinny will :o)
Well I know where I'd like to stuff it having grappled away with it like someone demented .
It's one of those big round yellow ones so I scooped it out ,chopped it all up with some mince, peppers ,toms ,onion etc ,dolloped a bit of cheese sauce in ,shoved it back in the skin and it's sozzling in the oven .
Another hit and miss meal from Shaney Craddock :)
Craney Shaddock ! My mum used to make that but she curried the mince, oh yum, would love some!
yes, sounds lovely shaney or should I say norfolksounds? :o)
I am reading "A Place of Execution" by Val McDermid, it's about a little village in Derby called Scardale (does it exist?) and I know all about your derbyshirians!!! Dear me, I wouldn't dare visit!!
haha, not as far as I'm aware neti...scarSdale is a vetinary hospital though..
speaking of pets, is it still ok to call Charlie 'paddy paws'? Seems I can't throw a paddy anymore...well who'd have thought it, tut.

Just called in to say I'm feeling a bit cold and tired so I think I'll have me Horlicks and go to bed. I've just been busy on Skype and before that learning how to do accents on letters when writing French words.
Also I have a film called The Reader to watch has anybody seen it. It was recommended to me. It has Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes in it.

Hope you all have a peaceful night.
See yer later 'gater(s)

PS. Come back Kit wherever you are.
I know she'll be staggering in during the wee small hours with corks dangling from her sparkly hairnet & singing Waltzing Matilda at the top of her voice so I'll wish...

....A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dolly!! xx
Have a good day and leave us some sunshine please.
You've got a gatecrasher....
