Suggest you get the initial letters for the grid on the right and then invest in a Chambers dictionary.

Let me bump this for you sixpence.

Of course you are ok to post your question. Unfortunately the membership here is made up of a diverse lot and that is the nicest way I can phrase it. Hopefully some of the nicer ones will see your post and give you some useful answers. Happy Christmas to you :)
36 a) rough b) whatever c) imported ???
Sixpence, can you show in each clue the number of words please?
32a and b ....wingless dragonflies. L- - DWO - - //A - - - TES
From a scant look , I'd say you need to split the second word in 32 to get the first answer.
Closing date 27th January. Been out a fortnight.
29a You have one too many dashes M--NIN-
If you only concentrate on the "am" and remember the quiz has homophones etc.

Is this the quiz that tries to coerce you into giving more as an entry fee by claiming previous years' average donation was over £20.
Even worth causes do not warrant that kind of money for a quiz even at £50 as a prize.
Yes that's the one.
Not going to happen!
Downloaded this quiz but find the instructions too complicated for me. Seems a bit expensive to enter too, but they do raise lots for charity.
I've been doing this quiz a few years now. Usually give £3 as it is a good quiz and does lots for charity. I find it difficult to believe anyone would pay £20.
