32. Small man swallows two thirds of mollusc (7)

Don't know this either. Small man could be BOY or an abbreviated man's name.

A mollusc could be snail etc but if setter is being precise it needs to be a word of 3,6 or 9 letters for us to take two thirds of it.

I thought of Boynton as NTON is a fair part (half) of plaNkTON but plankton is not a mollusc.

Good luck with it

Hi, thankyou for your help again, for Q 16. Stop performing - take a breather! (10, 2 words) i thought of the answer Khyber Pass beaces i thought pass might mean another word for "stop" and khyber because part of the letters of breathe are contained in it but im not sure about the answer. Ive really tried working out the answer to Q 25. Strengthen bog perhaps before two animals take auditions (24) (4 words), but i still can't find the correct solution, does anyone have the correct answer for it and any help, also for Q 32. Small man swallows two thirds of mollusc (7) i thought of the answer boynton as well and also clapham, does anyone know if these are correct. I thought of another answer as well for Q 34. Blood shed on mud before repairing leak (12) (2 words), i thought it might be Duggleby Howe as "blud" meaning blood is contained in the clue and dug might relate to "mud but again im not sure, if anyone can please help we out the correct answers to any of the questions that haven't been solved i would again be really thankful, thanks,
34 Goremire lake It's really Gormire Lake but that hasn't enough letters but it fits the clue almost exactly
>25. Strengthen bog perhaps before two animals take auditions (24) (4 words), but i still can't find the correct solution, does anyone have the correct answer for it and any help,

I thought I'd broken it down word by word but maybe my explanation could have been clearer. The animals were ovine and canine- put them together. Looks as if the "hope they aren't found guilty" joke fell flat
Your patience is admirable :-)

Hi, thankyou for your help with the answer again, i understand the joke as well sorry about before, is the answer to Q 25: Harden Moss Sheepdog Trials, also does anyone have any more answers and help for the rest of the questions that haven't been solved, thanks again,
Yes, that is right
Toorak, FF is renowned for his patience. He was the same with a former member of AB. :-)
Thanks, Tilly. But I have my moments and sometimes show my irritation, particularly when posters consistently fail to provide letter counts. And sometimes in the classroom....
I share your pain, FF.
f/f For 16 a 4 letter word for Stop - H??? with a 2 letter word for Operating - O?, then a 4 letter word for how boats park - Moor.
It's in the Leeds area.
^^^^^Slipped up, didn't mean to give the word, however.
Thanks dave, I can see that one now, although I'm not sure the last part of the original clue is that good. I was unable to get Idle from my mind (love the Idle Working Mens Club!).
I'm not doing the quiz, just trying to encourage Kelly to break down and analyse the clues so next time she does one of these she can be a bit more self-sufficient. Hopefully she'll get this one now too with your hints

Im also still really struggling with the questions below, thanks again for all the help,

21. Vitality follows short weekday! (11)
23. ...and includes two sizes for nothing! (10) Answer i thought: Almondbury
25. Extracted from earth or peat moss (10)
26. Virgin before (9) (2 words) Answer i thought: Woolf Hall
29. Final match or game (13) (2 words)

cracoe is correct-CR (half of crew) + anagram of CAOE (canoe with the point N for North taken out)
Q24- on an earlier thread I suggested putting the single letter for novice (think of learner driver) inside the word used in connection with the social class system in India. That gives a six letter word for an old building associated with maybe a 1000 years ago. The other part of the answer is less clear to me but maybe you can see it
25 Thorpe Hall

Extracted from earTH OR PEat moss
25 is a 10 letter place name in West yorkshire. The last 6 letters are hidden in the clue. I can't quite see where the first 4 letters come from but the same 4 letters were used in the answer you gave to another clue recently. (I was expecting the answer to be hidden in the clue or an anagram but it doesn't quite work)
