Anybody else feeling a tad uneasy here ?

Not attending two important church services is not like our Betty at all, and there was all that business about not leaving on time for her beloved Sandringham.

Perhaps I am making two + two into five here ?

Being laid up with the 'flu is no joke. Even with the best care one gets it has to run the full course. She must be really bad to miss going to the Church.
She's 90. I've been ill over xmas and have opted out of both xmas day and NYE.
You just couldn't resist the 'Betty', could you? Pathetic!
I don't believe there is anything sinister going on.
I am thirty years younger than her and started feeling rough with a cold on 22 December. Since then I have only left the house once, just not felt up to much at all. Starting to feel ok just today.

I am not suggesting anything "sinister"....its just it doesn't seem to add up somehow.
I am 46 years younger that HM and I had the flu back in October - I am still not entirely better so its hardly surprising that she is taking her time to get back on her feet.

Lets hope so Islay.
I was ill on NYE, too. I had to bail out, and I'm about half the Queen's age.
At her age any illness could be problematic,
If she's caught the same virus as I did - and now OH has got, then I'm not at all surprised. OH's feverish cold has gone into his chest and I've nearly whipped him off to hospital twice and he's only 83. He has ap't. booked for Tuesday and I spent most of last night checking that he was breathing. She's probably just being sensible.
JD ... was there any need for that?
I'm worried that there is more to it than we have been told! She is 90 after all!
I wish her well.
I hope a cold is all she has got, I also wish her well.
I do hope it's nothing more than a bad cold
You're right Eddie they will never give all the details and especially if it is more than they are saying. However having been and still am in bad health myself with an horrendous chest infection for nearly a month now.....if her maj has similar then nothing sinister just precautions for someone her age,
they say it's a bad cold, adn that seems about right. They last a week if you don't treat them and go away in seven days if you do. Given that she's 90, I'm not at all amazed that it's hit her harder than a younger woman and lasting a bit longer.

But I admit I have wondered occasionally... you don't suppose she's caught... manflu? If so - God save the Queen.
Jno. Man flu? I hope she's not that unwell. !!!!!
She is 90 so these things take longer to clear.
But im sure with the best care of her medical team she will recover .
Doubt if she has to wait three weeks for GP appointment like the peasants.

Betty will soon be waving to the public and cutting ribbons again soon.
