.....cos I haven't been on here this week. I thought they were extremely fortunate to get as far as they did. They got battered in every game they played with nine Englishmen in their team, which might explain it! Everyone I knew had tears in their eyes when they lost - tears of laughter. Lovin' it!

Here we go again :(
It's being so cheerful keeps you going no doubt, enjoy.
It was dead funny to see such a team of superstars play well below par and not get as far as they wanted.
I wasn't pleased they lost and wished them no ill but I'm glad you've mentioned the 9 English born players ( said it but was ignored). There were many posters on another thread praising their Welsh national pride which in the circumstances is a tad questionable.
Well perhaps if the nine of them had played for England they might have done better than they did. What a misery guts.
And as I said on another thread.......that's how we teach our children true sportsmanship?

Well the Welsh gave a better reception to their team than our losers got.
Perhaps because the Welsh stayed almost to the end and gave value for money.
Which tournament were you referring to? Not Euro 16 surely.. They beat Russia 3-0 and Belgium 3-1, that's not getting battered. They weren't even battered by Portugal, just marginally outclassed. The only game that they were under the cosh for most of it was unbelievably against England.
Our losers couldn't have a welcome home because as soon as they were out most of them *** off on holiday like they didn't give a fig.
It strikes me that there is rapidly becoming a new National sport - the rules are loose but basically drain every drop of good cheer and happiness from any outcome and slam those who tried whilst you sit in your chair jeering ( or crying with laughter for a bonus point).
At the end of the day the Welsh made many friends in France and were a credit to their country as far as behaviour by the fans is concerned. They didn't leave animosity and death in the stands like some English clubs do.
The Welsh are true sportsmen/women both players and fans alike.
England were mince, get over it

No they wouldn't. Roy Hodgson was the biggest reason England were awful.
He has all the tactical nous of a rabid dog trying to bite a porcupine.

I'm sure you're right, 10C.....maybe they have been brought up and influenced by people who have tears of laughter in their eyes when a team doesn't win?
Still a tad bitter then
