"A classical order similar to Roman Doric but having columns with an unfluted shaft and a simplified base, capital, and entablature."

look at http://ah.bfn.org/a/DCTNRY/t/tuscan.html
which does seem to explain the features of different t types of columns. also http://www.cmhpf.org/kids/dictionary/ClassicalOrders.htm l
gives comprhensive examples of Corinthinian, Doric and Inuic and explains that he Tuscan order is very plain, with a plain shaft, a simple capital and base, and a plain frieze
