You're welcome, guys. Don't say I never give you anything.
oooooooh drinking beer in the hot tub!! I've been thrown out for doing that!
thinking of hot tubs, some years ago a realtor was showing us round a lodge we'd rented in Breckenridge and in that casual almost throw-away manner that americans use to impart important information, she said:-

"and, uhhhhh, don't leave the lid off the hot tub".

turns out the park authorities were having issues with black bears that didn't hibernate that year, and were wont to take advantage of uncovered hot tubs to keep warm......

"She's focused, she's determined"
(The Observer, 2 Feb)

"straight out of the Rhona Martin mould"

"She's definitely what we're looking for in skipper material"

As ever, AB leads, and others follow.

I love the idea o a big bear sitting in a hot tub.
I've just sat with the schedule and my works diary and booked three half days off! Yippeeee .... And I'll be home in time for many events - can't wait for an evening of Ladies Aerials for example!!

Do you happen to have seen an easily read TV schedule JJ?

Maydup, you don't have an iPad or iPhone by any chance, do you? There are a couple of very good Apps which slot the evens schedule into your calendar.

Did you watch the men on the Hahnenkamm last weekend - scary stuff on one or two of the top turns.

Some nice pix here :

Yes, it's scary, isn't it.

The blue markings for the downhill and super-G courses are getting more and more prominent - are they for the benefit of the skiers or just so that it's easier to follow on TV?

I'm not sure I like them from an aesthetic point of view?
Question Author
The blue marks are for the skiers. In the wrong lighting, it can become impossible to see the shape of the slope, and it would be dangerous to ski on them.

It happens sometimes towards the end of the afternoon. You can't see when you're approaching a drop off. It can be pretty scary.
I suspected that was the case - but they seem more prominent than usual on TV this year
