Well, now it's over and done with for another year, do you have any Christmas favourites, favourite present, favourite Christmas food/drink you had, favourite moment?

Mine, some lovely comfy boots which I love and were a great surprise, for the food it has to be brandy sauce, I love it! Drink has to be hot Gluwein. Moment, just feeling lovely and relaxed, not been so relaxed for a long time and curled up on the sofa with mum, wrapped up warm in a throw watching a film and being so lovely and warm and sleepy I ended up drifting off :)

Crabbies Mulled Ginger Wine has been this year's unexpected treat - mixed about 3:1 with Makers Mark and nuked for long enough to get nice and warm ... mmmmm
Favourite foods, our three bird roast and a strawberry cheesecake.
I'm not keen on turkey or ham which is what the MIL cooked. No butter in the mash because FIL doesn't like it. Ran out of roasts by the time mine was dished up....the rest was nice though.

Liked all my presents.

Got a little bit drunk...

That sounds lovely Dave, will have to look out for that! I love ginger beer so if it's anything like that?

We had a gammon ham which was lovely! Lots of little treats I don't normally have like pickled onions and brie.

I wasn't drunk at all, had some Weightwatchers wine with Christmas dinner which is actually really nice and light. Never tried one of those three bird roasts but heard they are really nice.
Fav (but a little bit sad) moment was when boy #2 came downstairs on Christmas night and was so overwhelmed with emotion (tiredness, pleasure with his presents, etc). He just couldn't explain why he was so happy and sad all at the same time. Really touched me :(
Watching GD cry with happiness when she unwrapped present from her parents.

Just happy to be here with those we love you couldn't, buy it
I liked all my presents
Food - the potatoes with onions and BOTH puddings oh M...G LUSH!!
Moment - watching dad give the ceramic mug a odd look
There were 4 of us for dinner and we ploughed through 2 bottles of Veuve and 2 bottles of port. The conversation and atmosphere was just fantastic. Food wise I didn't over-indulge as I am more of a picker than a stuffer.

Gift wise I had £700 off family and £25 off one of the Doctors at work, plus a some showergel, wine and port.

Low point was my car accident on Boxing Day (still very achy)

Xx

Blimey, what happened, NM ?.
I've had lovely and unusual presents.....the most useful being a fantastic torch but how did the giver know it would be much needed?

Favourite moment.....meeting the son's girlfriend.

Food and drink passed me by this year......x
Hey Tony x

Left parents heading home, pulled up at a red light, smacked up the rear a few seconds later!
Mine has just got to be the most beautiful great grandchild born on Christmas eve.
Favourite moment was the electricity coming back on at 5.30am Christmas eve morning and staying on! Favourite food was a dark chocolate orange - never tire of them, but only have them at Christmas as a special treat.

Now i too am wrapped up on the sofa but wish there was a decent TV drama to watch. Instead I'm planning a journey for the New Year and playing a bit Jewel. Mania!
