It had to be a man...Off to see my granddaughter in her stage school performance and had to drive through the one main street in my town. Around the bend we were stopped by barriers across the road....fair and entertainment here tonight. Like the two cars in front of me I had to do a U turn wondering why the hell they hadn't put a diversion sign a few hundred yards before the barriers so we could loop the main street. That was when we discovered barriers had gone up behind us....trapping us between both sets. We could see two men walking away to put the diversion and road closed signs in place.....great timing....and had to call them to let us out. They did with much grumpiness, complaining we shouldn't be in there..the road was now closed. We had grasped that...but hey.
Now, I know a woman would have put the road closed and diversion signs in place first....then put the barriers across...Oh yes they would!

Just waiting for the explosive responses...........

i am reluctantly enclined to agree with you, gness

(they make me feel embarrassed to be a man)
This wasn't Aylesbury, by any chance?
Question Author
Northants, Pixie....are they the same where you are? x
a man would have done his homework and known the road was due to be closed
A bloke would not drive into town on a Saturday night, that's what cabs are for.
Question Author
A woman would have put signs up announcing the road closures...and where we could see them......not just assume that newcomers would have psychic powers....but then men seem to think women are psychic... ;-) x

But I live in a tiny one street town and this was lunchtime, Baza. So, like the arguments of most men....not a leg to stand on. x

i knew you'd say that
I'm in total agreement with with gness, men and logic are not two words that go together.
Yes! We had stage school performance in Aylesbury today for my daughter and it was just the same. With 450 children being dropped off/ picked up through the day. Chaos!

You and all the female abers, Excel!

Hi Traci.....I suppose they have their good points but logical thinking is really not one... :-) x
Question Author
I was five miles from the venue, Pixie.....the only problem in getting there was the bit organised by men....;-) x
of course;-). Hope you all enjoyed it, anyway
Question Author
Loved it, Pixie....such promising talent. Granddaughter had her first solo and was the most brilliant and outstanding performer...as was every other grandchild on the stage! That's just to annoy Sqad and Evian!! ;-) x
Lol. I'm sure they were all fantastic!
That is so funny Gness - one for Richard Littlejohn in the Daily Mail - he publishes "you couldn't make it up" stupid stories! x
surprisingly few outraged comments from the men here.

Do you think they're all posting them on the wrong thread?
ael, done homework where?
Question Author
They know we're right, Pixie! :-) x
