Ctrl-Alt-Delete (aka The three fingered salute) was originally the way to restart a PC in their first incarnation. Nowadays, Windows doesn't let this combination restart the computer as Windows never crashes. Instead, it takes control of Ctrl-Alt-Delete for its own evil purposes.
