A friend has been waxing lyrical about an orange cake she had on holiday. She tried to get the recipe but they would'nt give it to her. Apparantly the oranges have to be boiled. Has anyone heard of a cake like this. I did tell my friend that if anyone knew it would be an ABer.I have made an orange cake to a Hairy Bikers recipe but the oranges were'nt boiled.Any help appreciated.Thanks.

You could try ''Country she went to' boiled orange cake'
I used to do a lemon sponge by boiling lemons in the restaurant I worked in. I have the recipes somewhere, I will have a look over the weekend for you when I am back home. I'm sure she could substitute the lemons for oranges.
On holiday where? It could be a kind of polenta cake.
How about this one.Not sure if you use the orange peel as well though. What do you think?
