I split with a guy I'd been dating for a few months recently. All ended as well as it could really. There have been no crossed words exchanged & it's just one of those things I guess :o(

Went to see him last night to collect shoes I had left at his. He dragged me out getting the shoes for days. Eventually went to get them & even though just for a few minutes it was still nice, well as nice it could be. We hugged each other & I told him to take care of himself. Now, here's the question. I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to send a text....a kind of 'I loved spending time with you & I'll miss but please be happy' text.

Good idea? Bad idea? Can't decide!

Bad idea, if you've finished, unless you really want to have another stab at the relationship. No reason why you can't be friends, but I would just leave it for now.
If in doubt dont !!! Or ask yourself why you want to make contact honestly............. are you really hoping that he might say he would like to try again ?? ......and if he did , is it what you really want ?? if it is - try it !! if you really dont want to get back with him then dont !! Good luck Px
Just realised that this is a duplicate post, there are more answers on this one http://www.theanswerb.../Question1057478.html

This is confusing sarah as it suggests that in fact for you it didn't "all end well as it could". Certainly doesn't look like a good idea to text those words.
As this is now 3 days later, I wonder if you did or didn't; however, if you haven't yet, I'd say don't, unless you're hoping that the text might reconcile you. As it is you finished on good terms - best to leave it as that then when you bump into each other at some point, it'll be easy to be friendly.
Perhaps he is like the other guy? ..
