I have just purchased a car for my wife but the previous owner purchased it from a car auction, she tried to switch the radio on this morning but it is asking for a code and she doesn't have one. Is there any way that she can find the code as we don't have the log book yet so we don't know who owned the car previously?

If it is the original radio, then a local dealer may be able to get it from the radio serial number/car chassis number.
Or take it to a specialist in-car entertainment (Halfords!!!) and they may be able to help.
Last time I did it (about 6yrs ago) it cost me £20.
no reputable place is going to give you the code without the logboook.

Thanks for your assistance, I'll have to wait until I get the log book and my wife can take a portable radio with her if she wants music, either that or take an mp3 player with her
Just Google car radio codes there are lots of providers. You can also try Ebay - they charge from 99p upwards
try factory code ie 0000 1234
i mean 0000, or 1234
