Is it true that when you fart you let out thousands of microscopic pieces of poo? Serious question, not messing about. Thanx.

if thats the case a simultaneous sneeze and fart in a confined enclosure is bordering on a chemical attack . who needs chemicals the underground is going to be full of suicide farters
I guess so. Smells in general are small microscoptic particles from something, so is likely to be microscoptic particles of what is in your intestines.
Yes i think it is true, and when you flush the loo after a poo you should always close the lid cos microscopic bits of poo also float out, which is also why you shouldn't keep your toothbrush near the toilet.
Since most of us have kept our toothbrushes near the loo for years, and have not all died of this that or the other, perhaps we don't need to worry too much. I'm more concerned about protecting the looside reading matter from contamination. :)
And when we smell things, that means that the tiny microscopic bits of the thing have gone up your nose! So when you smell a fart .......
this is mingin. well funny tho! when you do go for a Tom Tit, i guess that can happen. A worse thought is if someone drops one on a crowded train. But surely peoples pants would filter out the airbourne turds?
A fart is gas, predominantly methane, any microscopic pieces of faeces emitted during the process of farting would not travel very far and be trapped by any material close to your skin such as your pants.
surely this is a disturbing thought. if you can smell it you must be inhaling the airborne particles or there would be nothing to smell. even more disturbing is thinking about the last part of your body it must go through before it gets to you.
I also discovered there's a variable chance of liquid being added to the mix, which does get caught in the underwear, and shows up as smooth edged patches, as opposed to rough edged skidmarks. But the small amounts that would reach the air would be unlikely to have much harm left in them. I actually learnt a lot from a quiz on the subject http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?quiz=173302
