right....hi-tops. these are notorious for farting because when they are laced all the way up, the back of the heel moves when you step and rubs on the material at the back. examine your shoes very carefully to see if the sole is intact, or if there are holes/dips/movement between the different layers. if they are structurally ok, you can try the following: *not...

Tippy toe steps?
you're not the first person to blame the shoes
You could pin a little sign on your back saying: It's not me, it's the shoes. :-)
it's either because you have sweaty feet, or the sole of the trainer is bduggered. do you know which? if it's the latter.....new shoes x
Take them off!!
Yeah my work boots are the same fluffy, good fun though.

i don;t think i have sweaty feet, i am wearing two pairs of socks though, its always these trainers, none of my other shoes

Ummmm - you know if i take them off they'll disappear

I think I'd steal them if you took them off. It would amuse me :-)
You'll go like the wind in those trainers!
Are your feet slipping up and down the back of your shoes when you walk fluffy.
It happens to all converse trainers. It's moisture.

Perhaps they've got wet?
Choose a tune...walk in step to it and apply for the X Factor.
are they air soles?
my converse are ok! if they are well used trainers, i would think something in the sole has gone. if they are fairly new....take them back to the shop! x
fart and wet aren't two words you want to hear together
Yes...right... take Murph with you when you are wearing them and blame her
Lcg, the same thing happened with mine last week. I was walking in work and they kept making this strange squelching noise. It had been raining, so I reckon they'd got wet. My work colleague said the same thing happened to hers.
Question Author
they might be wet, i walked in and it wasn't raining but it wasn'tt dry. I have taken them off now, they are now on the radiator
as the Mr mcc ought to say "then die-or-here"
lots of shoes get squelchy after getting wet....it's not specific to converse.
