25ac i think its greek gift
25ac gree (kg)(if) t

Viagra....Via (way) Gra(b)
I put Viagra !
via + first letters of last 3 words. meaning whole clue

Many thanks, Roger. I still don't understand the SOB bit, I must be thick! So I suppose 24d is skye, if you remove e (for drug) you get sky, but where does the cooler come in? i really am dim tonight.

And thanks to you all, nearly there now.
no treacherous sob is greek (apologies to any trojans present) and g for gram not kg ..

I thought viagra but didnt get react advantageously ... I think he's taking the rise
doesn't that leave the last t in limbo?

did not like this crossword - and I don't get sky either!
Question Author
hammersgirl, I do agree with you, I don't think some of the clues were at all good. I don't know where the t in greek gift comes from either. Is SOB son of a bitch, to put it bluntly (and risking being banned I assume!). Also, in 19ac, well ha ha, but where in the clue is the definition?
25a Presented by the treacherous ie. a GREEK GIFT
Sob is to weep or old english to GREET
weight KG . Condition IF.
vg rainman... last 1 4 me on this horrid xword... anyone got 22,13 !!
Anagram of Unitary connection + us.....

.....Continuity announcers

Not a great clue imho.
Question Author
greyfox, I too thought the answer was an anagram of unitary +connection, but then I realised that those words only contain 4 n's. and there are 5 n's in continuity announcers. I've written that in though.
Question Author
rainblue, thanks so much for your very clever analysis of greek gift. I had originally noticed greet, but it slipped out of my mind again!
