Good morning, I would appreciate some help with the following, thank you!

(Five pairs of answers clash in a single cell, in ways that cannot be uniquely resolved. Letters from across answers, read left to right, spell one name, those from down answers another. The names will guide solvers to replace each clash with the same thematic symbol, and they must then highlight what they are being DIRECTed to see. Chambers Dictionary ( 2016 ) is recommended. )

1a Small carnivore about to corner goose ( 5) : RA?S? ( RAISE )
12a Backsliding trustee took off, making exit (6 ) : SE?A?? ( SENATE )
16a Silky stuff’s attraction, mostly universal ( 4 ) : T??E
19a Swimmer rules swim, active round both sides of lake ( 11 ) : ???S???????
33a Hired killer’s statement of capability keeping me revolted? ( 6, 2 words ): I?????
9d Parisian is present seeing off latest European Queen ( 6 ) : ??T???

5a I start to barf, tucking into pink sugar (6 ) : ????SE
26a I take command, mostly showing some guts (4) : I???
36a Vault offering drink - finished tucking in? ( 6 ) ?????A
37a Like many young animals, not initially hairy ( 5 ) : ?I?C?

14d Go crazy over turkey with repeated flapping ( 8 ) : ?LI?????
In 37 your 'c' should be K and in 11 your 'c' should be F.
Think of 4 letter drinks on the outside of 5 and 36 (pink wine for 5 and fizzy pop for 36).
5a I + start to "barf" inside a 4 letter word for pink = a sugar
26a I = the first three letters of a 4 letter word for to takecommand = art of a ersons guts (plural)
36a the vault is a domed ceiling usually, a soft drink (4 letters) around a 2 letter word for "finished"
37a definition hairy as in dangerous, remove the first letter of a 6 letter word for the way many young animals are
11d Think Greek Island and Rugby
14 A 4letter word for go crazy, change the vowel to another and this 4letter word means turkey/failure etc. put them together for an 8 letter word meaning flapping
26 - 'take command' = go in front (drop the last letter).
14 - join together two 4 letter words that have 3 identical consonants.
Guiding you along the right path, Matakari - that sounds a bit Biblical! Have the hints helped you see the light?
...3 pairs of consonants that should be
