morning, wednesday midweek already, i hope that you are all as well as can be and that your day is a very pleasant one. Do you have thing planned for today? I have to finish packing and making sure i have everything for tomorrow as i am leaving early, as the taxi is booked for 10am and don't want to be hanging about. I am so looking forward to seeing the family and having a meal out for my brothers 50th birthday on saturday afternoon.

Good morning emmie. That sounds like an exciting time ahead for you. I've got an appointment this morning at the Cardiology department of the local hospital. How did your trip to Moorfields go, did they sort your eye problem out ?

it is early, my brain doesn't start functioning till later on.

I've just noticed your brother's birthday date emmie - snap! I shall be 30 years older than him on Saturday.

his birthday isn't until the 18th July. But he will be away for it, so i thought it would be a good idea to get the family together on the 16th.

I'm fine, just a bit anxious about today's appointment which is a diagnostic follow-up to my recent TIA I believe (the "invitation"didn't specify, just called me in for an echocardiogram).

Are you travelling far for the birthday do ?

i am staying in Middleton on Sea over 70 miles away with one brother.

The birthday boy lives in Fishbourne near Chichester. I take a taxi because i can no longer manage suitcases up and down stairs, onto the trains.

it is expensive, but as i don't drive, i have no other way of getting there.

Fishbourne - I know it well, only just down the coast from here (Hayling Island). I visit the Roman Palace there from time to time (well, I did before I had to stop driving.). But rail and bus stops are close so not too much of a hardship.

i might pop out for lunch later, will see what my friend is doing, if she wants to pop over to the cafe nearest me.

its a lovely place, where i am staying is with my brother and SIL in Elmer, also a nice place to visit, a ten minute walk to the beach.

I've never been to Elmer, I did once take a drive down to nearby Climping Beach but found it a bit bleak (it was winter, which does make a difference of course).

yes it is a bit bleak. I know most of the area now, having travelled around Elmer, Middleton on sea, with my brother. He knows a lot of nice places to visit and perhaps eat out.
