Try as they may, some people appear to be life's losers, failing consistently to get along with those around them, finding themselves, metaphorically, walking the plank on a regular basis, and very often blaming anyone and anything apart from themselves. Are you one of them - and if so, why do you think that is?

No ... but I'll let you know when I do, Gulliver. ;o)
No
S’funny it’s just here that I lock horns with 2 or 3 people but I guess that’s the keyboard thing, off of here I get along with everyone :0)
I know a few people like that but most of the have low self esteem, self loathing and blame themselves, not others.
Naomi; this is a very peculiar OP. You seem to be asking if anyone here considers themself a loser who blames others for his/her misfortune, then asking them what is the reason for their state.
Do you really expect anyone to reply to such a loaded question? Or are you having a go at some people here who you dislike?
Lots of issues getting on with people but that's because I don't always read situations very well. I am also rubbish at hiding my feelings, and managing the social niceties.
AB is a haven for "life's losers" it being a medium where they can exploit their inadequacies and in many cases have them acclaimed.
If they are truly inadequate they could even become Mods, the pinnacle of their life's endeavours.

" in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king"

Just joshing..?...?.....?...-;)
One of my friends is like that and can never recognise when she's in the wrong. She has anger management issues and can often come across as aggressive. I fell out with her two years ago and then she got diagnosed with autism and ADHD at the age of 50. She's also a bit of a hypochondriac.
Sqad //they could even become Mods, the pinnacle of their life's endeavours.//
Naughty naughty.
Square peg in a round hole isnt a characteristic of life's losers.
Is it ? .i would say this is a classic AB Sunday non sequitur

As I turn 60 I am increasing saying to myself ( and others ) - " You did this to yourself. " - that is I have had time not to be a loser, to get a circle of frenz whose company I enjoy and a few other things - - before conquering the world

[Now boys and gurlz, I WAS gonna say - I have come to realise I am an absolute loser because I hang around too long in an internet chatroom of complete dead beats with I think an -ology O level between them all and I am certain do not know they are alive.....but I see someone has already had a go]
I think it is easier to get elected Pope
than get to be a mod ....

they work so hard they do, and all da Holy Farder does as far as I can see is say Mass. - oh and playtime in the confessional ( videos available)

Nice and sunny outside oop t norf - I think I may eat in the garden

Atheist, what a suspicious mind you have.

tigger, I have a friend like that. She's at odds with everyone - even her own family. She's never succeeded in any job, probably because she knows better than the people who have hired her. She will never take advice about anything. For example, despite being told that post offices can't renew passports, she recently spent a considerable time insisting that her local branch renew her 20 year old passport because nothing except her age had changed and she didn't think she should fill a form in and go through the usual channels. They were 'stupid' - and she is her own worst enemy. She just can't see it though.
What definition of a square peg in a round hole are you using. To me this is someone who does not "fit in" to the job or position they are in
Naomi: Are you referring to 'real life' or Answer bank? Or in your case are the lines a bit blurred?

You seem to be a bit confused about the meaning of your idiom 'Square peg in a round hole' which actually means someone who does not fit in a particular place or situation. ie
"She felt like a square peg in a round hole at the new school until she made some new friends."
APG 13.10, Don't think she went to school .
Unfortunately I think this Post will backfire and not have the intended effect it was meant to have. :-)
Interesting question, Naomi.
I've spent most of my life trying to work out if I'm a
"square peg in a round hole"...............
or "a round peg in a square hole."

One of my favourite writers is Arthur Miller. He wrote "The Misfits."
A wonderful study of the "pegs" of this world. (Also a great film.)

I've never considered myself a loser. Partly because I'm still in the game.
I'll let you know after the final whistle. ;o)
Do you think that anybody who fits your description will be self aware enough to know that they do?
Question Author
calmck, as per the OP, I'm talking about life in general rather than the odd 'blip'.

Bobbi, //S’funny it’s just here that I lock horns with 2 or 3 people but I guess that’s the keyboard thing, off of here I get along with everyone

You're right. It is a keyboard thing. I think many here interact here with people they wouldn't choose to associate with in the real world.

Builder, I know what you mean. :o)

The Misfits? I haven't read it but Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable in the movie - or am I thinking of something else?

Woofgang, I don't know. Perhaps some are aware but just can't help themselves. I think my friend is like that. She knows she rubs people up the wrong way but doesn't seem to make any effort to do otherwise.
