Its still dark but it's raining, the pitter patter against the windows gives it away.
i am off to see friends this evening, we are supposed to be going by public transport,
that will change to a taxi over as i am not predisposed to getting drenched again.
when will this incessant rain stop i wonder. I hope you have a good day whatever you have planned.

we should have had a picnic yesterday but the weather was atrocious, so i was stuck in doors all day, watching tv and being bored to be honest. I did watch some of the Olympic closing ceremony which was good. I would rather have got out for an hour to get some fresh air.
still we are off to see friends new flat tonight, which i am looking forward to.
Hope you own a good brolly and enjoy your evening out Emmie.
As for the incessant rain, send it here!!
Question Author
morning 1ozzy
Afternoon Emmie;-)
Question Author
i will take the brolly, but if its raining will ask my mate to order a taxi there, as i got properly drenched the other day, and if i could send it over i would. How are you ?
Question Author
afternoon, its strange the time difference, one forgets you are the other side of the world.....
I'm doing OK thanks Emmie.
It's been a rather nice winters day, no frost, blue sky, but a rather chilly breeze, just to remind us it's not summer yet.
Keeping well up there?
Question Author
not too bad thank you, could do with straight sleep as still waking 3 times in the night but i can always catch up with 40 winks later on.
I do wonder that the morning isn't getting light till later now, its still pitch black and as i mentioned raining hard.
I too wake up a few times a night.
I blame it on " old man bladder syndrome "
Such is life ;-/
Question Author
mine is weird dreams and old woman's bladder problems, lol
I love weird dreams.
I get annoyed when I wake up and interupt them.
Try as I may, when I finally fall asleep again the dreams refuse to continue so I never know how they will finish.
Alas, such is life.

i haven't heard from my friends in Australia, i hope she is ok, as last time we spoke was a month or so ago, and she wasn't doing too well.
she is the one who lives in WA, Yokine. The daughter is the one who lives in Dubbo as i have said before, she hasn't seen her mum for 18 months or more because of lockdown.
Question Author
i don't like my dreams at all, they are disturbing, and often quite poignant as i have dreams of the late Mr Em and mum who has been gone now for over 4 years.
Lock down in Oz has been sporadic over the last eighteen months or so.
Depends where you live.
I've travelled between nsw, act and Queensland without much hassle.
The regional areas haven't been affected much but that's starting to change with the new variant of Covid.
If only our government had placed some urgency on vaccination we would now be foot loose and carefree
Question Author
the last phone call i had from Jean in WA, who is 92, she still hadn't had a vaccine, which is disgraceful. I can't understand this hesitancy in getting everyone jabbed. Because of her age she should have been at the front of the queue, i don't think her daughter who is my age has been vaccinated either.
Question Author
most of the adult population here have had both jabs, now it will be the turn of the 16 year old's to get theirs if they want it that is.
Wouldn't surprise me.
I'm still waiting for my first jab.
Granted living in a remote area may make it more difficult but when compared to other countries Oz is lagging badly in vaccinating its population.
The only reason we have had less cases is because we are remote and shut borders quickly.
But, as the borders slowly reopen havoc reigns supreme.
Question Author
that's bad, rural or not its not the point, i mean we have upwards of 8 million in the capital then 60 odd million elsewhere, my figures may be off a bit, but most have had their jabs. Can't understand why you haven't had yours.
Morning peeps.

I can't believe people down under are still waiting to be vaccinated. I was double jabbed in March as were most of the people I work with.

The Government get nothing but criticism here but we've got our freedom now thanks to the exemplary and proficient vaccine rollout.
