Daft question I know, but they have been absolutely amazing with their home delivery. Till today. Delivery due between 4-5 pm. Have had email saying order picked and on way. It’s never arrived. Have rang store and closed. Every number I have says closed now. Any ideas??

Weird snow but we have 2 co ops in our small town owned by different regions, the one that does deliveries closes all day Sunday. You can only wait until tomorrow and give them a call, which I guess you're going to do, sorry not much help.

I guessed as much. It’s just so odd.
Do they have Twitter?
I suspect that you'll be out of luck.

Just as Tesco, for example, only operates deliveries out of its larger stores (and not from Tesco Express or Tesco Metro stores), the Co-op only delivers from bigger stores which, by law, can only open for 6 hours on a Sunday. (Both of my local Co-op stores, including the one which is still open now, advertise a delivery service but the deliveries actually come from a larger store, three miles up the road, which can only operate 'Sunday hours').

Whereas a big Tesco store might still be sending out deliveries on a Sunday evening, it's simply not going to be worthwhile for a medium-sized Co-op store to keep staff there just in case an order happens to come in. So, almost certainly, there's nobody at all on the premises where your order has been sent to; they all went home shortly after they closed at 4pm.

You could try your local Co-op's website, to search for a store in your area which is still open and then give them a call. However you'll probably only get through to a lowly duty manager, who knows absolutely nothing at all about the deliveries which go out from a larger store a few miles away.

Sorry!
Even if you speak to someone its unlikely they'll get a new delivery out tonight. As long as your in tomorrow maybe just wait and see what happens or ring in the morning

So so odd. Have had email saying order has been picked and out for delivery..... well it’s not here lol
Smow the strange thing is that you were given a delivery slot, but I guess delivery slot software is not operated by store, but from a centralised system, who's data is not up to date, at least your call may get it corrected. Hope you didn't need anything for tonight, I would say you did and see what recompense they will offer you?

No it wasn’t anything urgent ~ I’ve just used them a lot lately and every single order has been delivered early, so this is really odd.
Occasionally 'external factors' might come into play to affect home deliveries. For example, the guy who was about to deliver to your house might have received a phone call to say that one of his children has been rushed into hospital, forcing him to abandon the delivery and rush to check up on his child. Or he might have been involved in an accident on his way to your house. Or . . . , etc, etc.
I was thinking the same, something must have happened to the delivery driver or the van. You might hear something yet even if its just an apology.
Yes Chris could be lots of reasons, but a phone call would have been good customer service
In short, he or she has eaten your order, smow! Strange times that we live in.....

Mad thing is that I can’t prove it DIDNT arrive!
You wont need to prove that. Wont it be showing as delivered if it has been left at wrong place
Do you not have to sign a screen, like you do with courier deliveries, you can tell I don't use store deliveries.

No Tony, I’ve had about 5 deliveries from them and I’ve never signed anything for any of them, which I must admit I found odd.
Tesco stopped the signing for deliveries at the start of the pandemic.
Another vote for Twitter, most supermarkets (and many other companies) have good customer service on there. I've had help from Asda and Tesco on there by direct messaging them. Usually pretty quick to reply to within the hours they reply.

Sometimes there is a bit of an automated service, Asda has one now so it guides you through to get the info they need to reply, like your order number, address, type of query. I just had a quick look and it asks for (relevant to your enquiry):

"Confirm your full name, address, email and Membership number (if you are one)

Attach a photo of the receipt, product, packaging (w/barcode, expiry date, supplier codes visible)".

Have you got a receipt you can attach? If not there should be an order number and you could always do a screenshot or the order and emails to save and attach.

Eve, I’ve tweeted them hours ago but no reply as yet. Oh well, wait till tomorrow now lol x
I can sort of understand that Mama, but how long does it take delivery driver to give the "pen" a quick over with an antibacterial wipe after each delivery, the driver can hold the actual device.
