Sorry if this has already been asked but once the vaccine is administered, when is it effective from? I read it's 28 days but is this after the first or second dose?

You might want to read this. It might reassure you but of course anyone who beleives this is a conspirocy and the scientists and goverments are lying to us won't be convinced by the full fact checks

Bednobs, yes indeed patients taking mAbs are likely to be offered the vaccination.
Monoclonal antibodies are already undergoing clinical trials to demonstrate their effectiveness against Covid-19 and right now, I like what I'm seeing. They seemed to have worked on Trump earlier in this pandemic too! The problem with mAbs is that they are eye-wateringly expensive to produce and the production facilities need to be ramped up. Durability is also an issue with them. The big advantage of course is that the right ones are immediately effective against Covid-19. The so called "convalescent plasma" may well be the way forward. One day, they may replace vaccination if the virus is still with us.
I was involved with this research way back in 2004 after the first recognised cases of SARS came to light and it has turned out to have provided a head-start in Covid-19 vaccination development.
SARS-CoV-1 was on the planet between November 2002 and around May 2004 and simple, public health measures such such as masks, isolation, quarantine and travel restrictions all proved to be its downfall. I sincerely hope that Covid-19's duration is similar or less because we have put precisely the same measures in place.
