You'd love Crown Green bowls then, RC, especially when played on public greens in parks (where there can be large numbers of people all playing at the same time). There are no rinks, with whomever is delivering the jack being permitted to place it wherever he likes on the green.
So you might have one group playing from top left to bottom right, with another playing from top right to bottom left, others playing straight up and down or straight across, and so on.
A green in a public park might have a dozen or so matches all taking place simultaneously (and with all of those matches constantly changing the direction that they're bowling in), so collisions are far from uncommon!
