You said earlier (https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puzzles/Crosswords/Question1672862.html) that you had 4 now

i thought i did but it didn't fit other answers
what letters do you have for 4 then please?
And do you have any letters for 9 and 12?
So that leaves (with punctuation added) :
4 Exorcists snare first sign of satanism
9 Sung note one’s hit, that is rolled around
12 Corn cookie, one turning up wrapped in tripe
If you could add the patterns plus details of possible starting letters (as per your earlier thread) it would be good
Sorry-
4 Exorcists snare first sign of satanism (6)
9 Sung note one’s hit, that is rolled around (5)
12 Corn cookie, one turning up wrapped in tripe (7)
12a HOECAKE
I cannot remember the 'exorcists' answer (and the newspapers were recycled this morning).
I think they are minor exorcists of the 2nd tier, and I think the 'snare' was quite obscure, but my memory might be playing tricks.
hoecake must be right- although I can't fully parse it. I can see ACE (one) turned up/reversed but does HOKE mean tripe?
That's right fiction-factory.
This was quite a tricky puzzle from azed, it would help if yellow11 offered some letters - that might jog my memory.
9 is ELAMI
...'e-la-mi'.
I wrongly thought it was LAM in IE reversed, but same answer
Yes, LAM in IE reversed (I thought it would help to show the hyphens - that's how it appears in Chambers).
