David Attenborough's Climate Change: The Facts seems to be having a fantastic impact. More people are now thinking about what climate change means to us....how we are affecting our climate......and what we can try to do about it. Folk who thought "global warming" was a fantasy or a good thing have been shown what it really means.
Yes, I know there will still be the selfish head in the sand because I can't be bothered to care and anyway the climate has always changed shower......but there will be fewer of them after this programme....
And as for Greta Thunberg! What a fantastic young lady. Credit to the parents who brought her up....they've done a wonderful job......
The programme saddened me especially when I think how I've contributed to this pending disaster.....but we can all change......so I'm off to bed a bit more cheery and hopeful..... :-)

David Attenborough is an obsessive nutcase who believes in compulsory euthanasia.
In case you hadn't noticed, the Earth is 4.5bn years old. In that time the Earth has gone through climate change hundreds of times. It will do so in the future. It will take care of itself. At the moment, it is still emeging from the previous ice-age and will continue to warm up for approx another 3,000 years, when it will cool down again. Climate change is promoted by scaremongers and people who want your money. David Attenborough has had the "Roy Castle Effect" on people, i.e. because he says it, it must be true, when in fact what he says is a load of cobblers.

I don't want my children suffering for my laziness and stupidity and the ignorance of older nay-sayers it won't bloody affect. Fortunately you now seem to be very much in the minority, everyone else seems to be waking up.

Aircraft use an incredible amount of fuel and they burn it high up in the sky where the air is thin and the chemistry is complex and fragile. •Water vapour – Water vapor is a greenhouse gas. Most aircraft water vapour is released at lower altitudes where it’s removed by precipitation within 1 to 2 weeks but whatever is released in the stratosphere (above 10,000 metres) builds up.
•Contrails and cirrus clouds – Those thin trails behind high flying aircraft tend to warm the Earth’s surface, especially at night.
•Sulfate and soot aerosols – Soot tends to warm while sulfate tends to cool the Earth’s surface. Because aerosols influence the formation of clouds, their accumulation from aircraft plays a role in enhanced cloud formation and changes the properties of clouds.

Yes, yes I am Sparkly, and is that hypocritical of me? Yes it is, I'm not denying that, but that is something that for now isn't possible to change much. That may alter in the fullness of time. What we do day to day is live as cleanly and greenly as we possibly can though and we are aware of our effect upon our environment, some people seem to think that we have no impact on the environment, and that's patently ridiculous.
When people talk about climate change today they mean anthropogenic (man-made) climate change, this is how the Earth’s average temperature is warming because of human activities such as burning coal, oil and gas for energy and cutting down trees to make way for agriculture. Climate change is currently happening to an extent that cannot be explained by natural factors alone. Global temperatures have been rising for over a century, accelerating in the past 30 years, and are now the highest since records began.
