Friday. Overcast again. Nothing on the book for today, so if it doesn't rain I'll do the Stroud trip today, it was too wet yesterday. It should better today according to yer wee man on the idiot box.

Looks sunny out there. Must be some mistake.
Looking at my rose tree yesterday I was wondering if it'd stay put. Used to be up against the side of a timber archway, but that rotted at ground level and was removed, so the rose is on it's own now.

I loathe angling with him cos he walks for miles and miles, either along riverbank or around a loch.
Me, I like to sort of sit and enjoy the nature around me, then I'll shift along a bit and carry on enjoying the nature whilst getting my line wetter :-D

I can understand that albs. I love being on the water, or by it. The Gloucester and Sharpness canal is really a diversion of the River Severn, the bit of the river it bypasses is the most dangerous bit of it. Sandbanks can shift a fair distance between tides. So the water in the canal comes in through the river lock in Gloucester docks and goes out back to the river through the sea lock in Sharpness docks. It's the only ship access to Gloucester. There are always lots of varieties of sea creatures in the canal, we'e had seals, a dolphin once,
