Friday. Overcast again. Nothing on the book for today, so if it doesn't rain I'll do the Stroud trip today, it was too wet yesterday. It should better today according to yer wee man on the idiot box.
I hope so, there's nothing else to do indoors.

I hope it's nice tomorrow too, I'm on the canal.

Have a happy day everyone.

All well mate?
Morning gents :-)

It was so windy yesterday our neighbours (little) tree blew over and landed in the street.
Question Author
Morning ummmm xxx It was a bit breezy here too. At times the rain was horizontal.
I'll know better when I wake up. But I think I'm still breathing, thanks.
Looks sunny out there. Must be some mistake.

Looking at my rose tree yesterday I was wondering if it'd stay put. Used to be up against the side of a timber archway, but that rotted at ground level and was removed, so the rose is on it's own now.

I'm still breathing...just. Is it one of the Stone roses og?

The sky is clearing here now. How long for we shall see.
Goodly morning peeps xx

My climbing rose has become a sagging rose.

Cheered the birthday alba up no end this morning with the words of
'well, how does it feel to be a quarter of a century old?'
He's doing a double shift today, not fair!!
a we?

Morning albs xxx My poota is being all petulant too.

double shift on his birthday? That's out of order that is!

How are you anyway?
am well thanks Boaty, how's you doing?

He won't be home til about 10 tonight, so I reckon celebrations will have to be held over the weekend :-D
Question Author
Good plan! :o}

I'm fine thanks my lovely.
Glad to hear you're ok Boaty.

Mr Alba wants to go fishing tomorrow so has asked me to get permit for local river. Tackle shop folk are brilliant, both staff and the customers, very helpful, although they do talk to me as if I've never fished or angled in my life lol
Question Author
Nowt so queer as folk albs. :o}

there are always plenty of folk along the canal bank giving various wee beasties swimming lessons hoping to catch a bigger beastie. It holds no interest for me however.
It'd be a boring world if we were all the same.

I loathe angling with him cos he walks for miles and miles, either along riverbank or around a loch.
Me, I like to sort of sit and enjoy the nature around me, then I'll shift along a bit and carry on enjoying the nature whilst getting my line wetter :-D
Morning wbm xxx and all xxx nice clear day forecast good .gardener will be today so at last will get out of the jungle .Have a good day all .
Morning all, looks a nice one here this morning......
Morning Wendi xx DT xx

It's cloudy here, and a tad breezy, hopefully the rain will hold off til I get back from the shops.
Question Author
I can understand that albs. I love being on the water, or by it. The Gloucester and Sharpness canal is really a diversion of the River Severn, the bit of the river it bypasses is the most dangerous bit of it. Sandbanks can shift a fair distance between tides. So the water in the canal comes in through the river lock in Gloucester docks and goes out back to the river through the sea lock in Sharpness docks. It's the only ship access to Gloucester. There are always lots of varieties of sea creatures in the canal, we'e had seals, a dolphin once,
