17 across put spin on inequality and take trouble ?URR. The second R is from 19 down Followed up service with Lieutenant in old squadron ??SU?T?D - Resulted is the only word I can get here. Would also like confirmed I am right with 13 across - clued up about what rounds of cream tea HE(M)P and 9 down Sound of lights out pierces TAPS If any one can assist it will be most appreciated

BURR - reverse (put spin on) RUB (inequality) and add R (take).
Hep is clued up (as in old style jazz lingo) around the last letter of cream =HEMP, which is a type of tea. Taps is the bugle call played at 'lights out.' Not sure what 24 across is if the ending is U.
