two of my friends have been arguing and we are trying to finish it and was wondering if anyone can help

ok ill start at the beginning two of my friends one is from America and the other is from Scotland and they was both talking about where they was brought up and apparently they both have similar up bringing's and lives they where both brought up in the country side they both live on farms and they are both very outdoorsy so anyway they was both like yay we have so much in common Best friend!! and all that, but then ana (the one from Scotland) mentioned something about them both being country girls and jen (the American one) said ana was wrong and said that you have to be American to be a country girl anyway ana said no you don't and jen said yes you do and ana said no you don't etc. and basically they both think they are right, (tbh Im on anas side and think she is right because they both live the same way and are practically the same person but with different accents and they are both obviously country girls, so me and my friend keith are trying to put a end to this argument so if anyone can help that would be great please share your thoughts and ill show them the posts and put a end to this silly argument (very childish I know haha)

Yes, you said it - very childish. Time to get a life methinks!
Unusual spelling of the name Ana...Is she Jewish?
Is this serious? Why on earth would the American one say only an American can be a country girl? It's like saying only an American be a townie or city dweller.
Typical American.

They think they invented everything and living in the country is obviously one of those inventions. Or should that be re-inventions?

Is the American confused with country music and coming from the country?

Ana is correct.

(By the way, you are either Scottish OR English. They are two different things. Like American or Canadian.)
Ana is right, Jen is wrong.
(Although I understand why Jen thinks she's right.)

That's it then, all finished. They are both country girls. You can be a country girl in any part of the world, America didn't invent it.
