Yes, I suggested Hide and Seek on another thread where someone had the same set of letters.
It's James Patterson who is pretty famous but I do not think it is regarded as classic alongside Jane Austin's novels, Charles Dickens, etc
Are the letters definitely right- were they given or were they deduced from a crossword grid?
Possible words in there are Danish, Heidi, shade...
Question Author
thanks,factor-fiction.Hide and Seek is also a book by Wilkie Collins who is sort-of classic but not like Dickens or Chaucer,I agree

James Patterson's mystery, 'Hide and Seek', is a thrilling novel that keeps the reader on edge

Don't think it's a Classic though! (nor is it 6 & 5)
Factor. The letters are from crossword grid but I think they are probably correct as I have the same ones
Factor. How do you get Heidi from letters of Hide and Seek and how is Hide and Seek 6 & 5?
dannyk - I think we are looking for an anagram of 'hide and seek' which gives us a classic book title - if I'm reading it right.
... classic book title of (6,5) letters
Ignore Heidi, dannyk, unless a letter is wrong.
The issue of whether the letter split is 6,5 was an error was discussed on the earlier thread

Correct ^^^^
Thanks Factor, don't think I will bother with this one
Many thanks for all your efforts. I had thought of Hide and Seek but thought it couldnt be right because it has to be 6,5. Quite a poser isnt it? I am sure my letters are right because they all fit together in the crossword. I will continue to work on it.
Wilkie Collins is certainly a classic author (Woman in White, The Moonstone, etc.) a contemporary of Dickens and regarded by some as the writer of the first whodunnit.
