...or is he a legitimate target after the drugs revelations from a few years back (which reportedly were NOT coke-centred)?

Jo Brand is looking a bit desperate here, she used to be funny (I actually paid to go and see her) but now she is rather pathetic. By the way her hair cut was criminal...............
I've never liked Jo Brand, her stand up is cringeworthy. What she said was uncalled for and even possibly libellous. The BBC are not the ones who should apologise.
it was quite good as puns go, but accuisng Harry - or anyone - of imaginary drug offences seems to put her in line with the tabloid newspaper principle: just make it up.
Naah. It was meant as a joke and a pun. I thought Hislops comment about the lawyers being asleep was funny as well.
What was sh!t was she even got van Cutsem's name wrong. She referred to his father who had recently died.
I know I'm called Coke but dont please read anything into that.
Anyway..
Looks like their researching was poor....Hislop's point - have they lost the lawyers - have they I wonder?

Should they be pulled up over it - well I think a lawyer would probably want to pick over it and advise as I'm not sure where their line is so I dont know if they have gone over it.
I realise its satire but he is in the forces and member of royal family and what was implied was poor taste. Jo Brand is not afraid to dish it out so no point hiding behind the writers and well she was perhaps thinking about the fat fee at the time and distracted.
Just a bad play on words. Should the right van Cutsem complain? No. He's probably heard such jokes about his name for years. Why should there be any complaint on Harry's part ? Not because he is royal, surely?
Is this the same Harry that was filmed cavorting naked, with prostitutes in a Las Vegas hotel room ?
Yes ut was and I have to say if I looked like Harry
I would probably take my clothes off more often

that comment has nothing to do with whether I stuff white flour up my nose
I am not sure what you are all worried about......Modern comedians/ienns, reflecting modern day tendencies of public vulgarity and lack of taste.

Yes, I do like a " touch" of smut.........but respect surely comes into this.....there again respect is no big deal today.

Tasteless comment.
But would a young rake with a pocketful of money and the world at his feet not have indulged? Clearly, he's fond of a drink or two.

I wonder if it were about a non-royal (Harry is unlikely to sue for slander) the joke would've gone through?
Sp....good point........but it WAS a royal.
Apparently Cocaine speeds up your speech and makes you lose weight. So there is no way Jo can be accused of taking it!!
Sqad, does being a Royal make any difference, or were you simply being humorous?
The only reason that we are talking about this at all is because Harry is the Queen's grandson. If Jo Brand used some footballer, pop star, or any other D list celeb, it would have gone unmarked. Its a sign of the nations obsession with the Royals. I feel sorry for little George...he has got all this to come, and there is damn all anybody can do about it.

By the way, I am going to stand up for Jo Brand here. I have seen her chairing HIGNFY many times before and she makes a very go of it. She is urbane, well-spoken and very funny. She is miles better that Roger Moore at any rate !
Fred......too me......yes being anRoyal dos make a difference and no, I am not ell known for my humour.

I still, believe in the class system, doffing one,s hat, standing up,when the teacher comes in and showing respect for our monarchy.

Silly stupid and out of date comments ,i do realise.
wasn't jo brand one of the people to slate carol thatcher for inappropriate words .
Respect is to the office, Sqad, not the person. I would stand when the Woodentops, sorry, lay magistrates, came into court. Wouldn't stand up if only the clerk came in, yet he or she was the real boss and the most important person there.
Fred........I understand.......and there we differ.......although the end result may mean the same;-)
