Following on from Sparkle's dirty b*ggers thread, if you use this Dove tinted moisturiser which is supposed to make you tanned gradually, how can the tan deepend if you wash/shower/bath every day, surely the Little bnit that is there, will get washed off so will never build up for a nice tan?

It's a bit like Mr Colman making his fortune from the mustard left on the side of the plate!
I use the garnier one and believe me, no amount of washing will get reduce it :/
I use the Palmers Cocoa Butter one, that would need a good long soak in the tub along with a good scrubbing with a loofah to be gotten rid of.
it tints the next layer of skin, doesn't it - I know the Johnsons one did that, no amount of bathing would wear it off. My friend made the mistake and used the dark one, it was - er - dark....
I've had many a disaster with fake tans and the suchlike, now I've settled on the Palmers stuff and I mix it half and half with moisturiser.
I stay white after so many disasters over the years.
