A friend of mine is supposed to be studying for her UK Citizenship test, but keeps nodding off, probably because she was on the phone bending my ear until 2am....

I've just had a look at the practice questions, I failed and fail to see the relevance of some of the questions.

Have a go and let us know how you get on http://www.ukcitizenshiptest.co.uk/

How appalling. I failed too! I totally agree with you re the relevance of some of the questions to British citizenship.
Hahaha!

I failed - 38%

Some (arguably, most) of those questions are totally irrelevant to living day to day in the UK.
I also failed.

I'm so glad I'm not the only British Citizen to fail the test and fail to see th relevance....

I'm tempted to do it again to see if I'm asked who is the Landlord of the Queen Vic.......
I guessed most of my answers, so in reality I know a lot less than the 38% I managed to scrape.
Failed. 13/24. What's a pass mark?
As an ex history teacher specialising in British constitutional theory and practice I feel particularly aggrieved. Best get on the next deportation plane!
I failed. only born and bred here.
What relevance has half of these questions got to do with living in the UK?

No idea but higher than 63%........
I scored 71% and thats a fail!!!!
i'll get me coat.. x
^ I'd fail on the Queen Vic's landlady too eccles ;-(
Maybe you could just live here 63% of the year, Sandy?
I, too, had 63%.

In some O-levels that would have resulted in an A :-)
That's a good idea. I wouldn't mind spending the dark winter months somewhere warm and sunny like Barbados.
Can I come too? Need to spend the other 62% of my time somewhere...
This really deserves a wider audience. Unfortunately it is only relevant to those seeking to become UK citizens. It would be very interesting to see the success rate of those born and bred here! It is a far more telling comment on those that devise such things than those who have to endure them. Wonder how many Mr Cameron would score?
Wow, I got 19 out of 24, think it said 79%. My brain must have a wealth of utterly useless information!
so am I in the lead with 71% then?
i got nowhere near that, many of the questions don't seem particularly relevant...
