I've a backlog to catch up on, so I'll do it over a few posts I expect.

DM 14300 15a One man brought in swan and a different bird (6) P-A-E-
I can only think of PEAHEN, but I don't know why. Please explain.

DM 14309 24a Amphibian whose head's bitten by fox (4) TOAD - why?

DM 14310 20a Speech mostly about men's musical work (8) ORATORIO - ORATIO(N), but were does the OR come from?

Brilliant, thanks - I should have got OR as I've had that a couple of times before. TOD and PEN are (were) new to me.
