I do not want to sound condescending but some of the Qs on here are stupid to the extreme.taking the risk of shooting myself in the foot I am sick of people like donald posing qs like what has fingers g/o/e .Surely thats not thats not what this sites for.I`m a fairly new subscriber but enjoy the chat and occasional tough clue-also appreciate help with the tough clues in the times-thank you lik and others.

Isn`t likely that abers who post qs have the resourtces to look up their words on google etc before asking for help.

I realise this makes me sound like a bad egg but I`m tired of going to a thread and finding a 4 letter word for manure

gandhi did
Good morning m'lady, I agree
dont fret tommy, the " what are you having for dinner " thread will be along soon, that will keep you stimulated... :) :)
I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who have nothing better to do all day but answer questions on here and then get annoyed if someone dares to ask a question that has been previously answered.

Read the responses of Lie-in King, Kayakamina, Tyrepill and others who treat everyone politely and with respect.
Lol! First laugh of the day for me. 4 letter word for manure? Isn't that "muck" !!
How can there be anything better to do than to help others ?
i dunno old g, sometimes i lkike nothing better than sitting on the sofa picking at me toe nails.

tommy-h your post does make you seem rather critical of others, best to not join a Q&A site if it bothers you so.
Sounds like it goes bust after a day NoMercy.
I sort of understand where you are coming from Tommy. I don't often visit Q&P but often chuckle at the questions posed that have such obvious answers.....as others have said a question is only easy when you know the answer!

I also recall a poster who's approach to doing a crossword seemed to be coming on here and asking for the answer to almost every clue which they then filled in. I couldn't for the life of me understand why someone would attempt a crossword with so little knowledge. I subsequently discovered that the individual had learning difficulties and felt more than a tad ashamed of myself for jumping to conclusions.

As I've said I'm not a frequent visitor to Q&P but I do feel there is an element of a club (NOT clique) where people enjoy meeting up and sharing clues and answers. I think there is also an element of smugness when an adversary doesn't know the answer to a clue that you had straight away. It's all part of the fun.

Yes Google is a useful resource; that's how I discovered this site, by putting a crossword clue into Google ;-)
