Seeing them celebrating their win and sipping champagne did you feel a slight pang of jealousy?

No, not for that much money. Envious they won, but not that much. I wouldn't have gone public, either.
No I felt sorry for them. Not for winning but for going public.
Slight?!?!?!?!?!

Haven't seen them yet but >good for them< :-(
Nice to see an ordinary couple win. Think they will regret going public though.
A lot of people seem to use the word 'jealousy' when they actually mean 'envy'. (Jealously is envy AND the addition of negative feelings towards the person who is envied).

Envy? Yes!
Jealousy? No!

I know what I meant.
Genuinely would not want to have to deal with that much money and think they're totally mad for going so public about it.
I wasn't criticising you, Sandy (or suggesting that your use of English is anything other than perfect).

I was simply trying to explain my answer to anyone who might regard 'envy' and 'jealousy' as synonymous. (Many people seem to. It's one of those little things that irritate me immensely!)
hope they can now afford Weightwatchers.
It'll solve Scotland's recession
they better move south of the border - give Scotland independence and in months Salmond will have the land bankrupt and taxes at 70% plus
I like to think I know my around investments and the taxation system.
But that amount of money is mind boggling and blows away most of my thought process.
You start to think ...Tax efficient investments ..then hold on ...why worry ...even after tax, the interest is more than I could ever spend anyway.

So I have purchased my nice big house , with a sea view and private beach ...
I now need to worry about security ...personal body guards .... can't even walk to the pub now for a pint , without the worry of being kidnapped ...
Just buy the pub and move in, Sirandy.........solves the walking and the security exposure.
I feel a huge pang of jealousy, but I wish them well, but ♫ it should 'ave been me ♫
Oooops sorry Buenchico, I mean ency of course!

btw how did you come by that spanish moniker?

I had the TV sound turned down when it was on the news tonight. At first I though it was Harold Bishop from Neighbours presenting the woman with the cheque but it was actually the woman's husband.
Good luck to them.
yes good luck to them..i might see them in monaco in september..lol...
Not a bit of jealously/envy, I don't do any lottery ☺ Good luck to them. I hope they enjoy themselves and do some good with their fortune.
