Could anyone translate the following into French.


"I treasure the friendship that we have, and may it continue for a long time."

Je tiens beaucoup � notre amiti�, et qu'elle continue pendant longtemps.

 

tenir beaucoup � qqch. = to value sthg. greatly;

que... [+ subj.] = [here] may it...;

pendant longtemps = for a long time (to come).

 

gerry's is OK, but it sounds very anglicised. Priser is just "to value", "que nous avons" is too English and using pouvoir gives a sense of being able to, rather than hoping/letting something happen.

Je ch�ris notre amiti�; puisse-t'elle durer longtemps.
