Well, greenwood has a lot of moisture in it, so maybe that's the link. I wouldn't know whether it's particularly good for raising the overall temperature.

It would certainly give you a smokey fire!
It refers to the fact that green. or young wood burns very well, making a hot fire, with little smoke. Translate that into human terms, and it means that younger partners make for hotter sex! It is a metaphor, so don't take it too seriously.
