This popped into my mind the other day...when is it said? I seem to remember an animated bit where what is supposed to be a serious documentary of something (fish?) zooms in to a close-up with each saying...."bread 'n butter" "bread 'n butter" "bread 'n butter" "bread 'n butter".........

One should say "bread and butter" when two people are walking together and something seperates the two, i.e. a trash can, lamp post, etc. Why? I don't have the slightest idea, my Grandmother taught me the saying.
