Anyone any ideas how you can keep rabbits out of the garden. My friends garden is on a slope and as the rabbits are digging holes she cant let the dogs out for a run as one has already fallen down a hole and landed on her chin. She has tried digging a trench 12 inch all the way round and filling with chicken wire, which has not helped. I have read on the net that fox urine is the best deterrant, which you can buy in powder form, anyone heard of this, and where on earth do you get it from!!!!!!

hi well not many people are in the same boat :) honestly i have no idea!the only things i can think off our how far is she digging the chicken wire into the ground go as far as she can with it further than 12inches because a rabbit can dig further than 12 inches . if she looks at the garden before she lets the dogs out and spots a whole if she can tell her to go out and put like a fence around the whole until she has time to fill it. by a fence i mean make like a square 4 longish sticks and put them in the ground surrounding the hole one at each corner and then use duck-tape and tape all the sticks making a square use basic sense if she has a small dog put the tape quite low down about shoulder height to the dog and vice versa for a big dog no idea about fox urine but you can get certain sprays which are meant to keep out rabbits non-toxic but you might want to not let the dogs go out as soon as it's been put down look in the supermarket or on ebay for such stuff.
