crowned?
Apologies for the short answer. The Queen was crowned in 1953 or when the Queen was crowned in 1953.
Crowned is the word. Invested maybe but that usually refers to a lesser ceremony than coronation.
When the Queen acceded the throne?
I think itis succeeded

Elizabeth succeeded to the throne on 30 Jan 1952 or thereabouts, and was crowned 1953.

The western ideas of Kingship mean that tht the crowning is really a confirnation of what has happened. - Everyone knew she would be queen afeer George VI, and that her won would succeed her.

In the East, coronation is much more important. In Byzantium, the successor was the first son born after the coronation (porpyrogeniture). So n the East Anointing was MUCH more important.

hope this helps
