Leading up to Christmas we all seem to ramp up our eating. I am trying to not each too much junk.

We are having Sirloin steak and salad and I made him a syrup sponge pudding which he will have with custard.

So what is tickling your tastebuds today?

Hardly 4 'meals' a day, Miss T. Supper ('bout 10pm) is usually a slice of cake or a couple of biscuits washed down with my last cuppa of the day. Red, if you live south of Burnley, then i am from 'up north' :-)

Leek and potato soup with fresh bread - all home-made.
Not a lot of appetite here.

Wish I could fancy a rib-eye though!
We're having sirloin steak for Christmas Dinner and I am determined to actually cook it if possible. Because only I can get a steak to rare perfection!

Today I will sit and be available to help for our spag bol dinner this evening. He tends to forget the herbs!
Tom yum soup followed by chicken Thai green curry.

All made from scratch by myself of course.

YMB - that sounds interesting Thai food is not my jam unfortunately - I have tried several times it just doesn't do it for me.
I'll have your pudding MissT, I love pudding. Bring on the pudding!
No idea. I am too busy to think about food. Although I have to go to Tescos so I may pick up some ding food.

That is, of course, if I can park the car and don't throw my toys out of my pram in a strop and come home.

naomi - the fat makes the steak taste yum and then gets trimmed off for the hounds
Question Author
Hope you are enjoying your time away Pasta
Yes, I am...thank you very much Red.
Agree Helen. Always cook with fat on. OH eats his fat. Dog gets mine. Naomi, fillet steak just doesn't have the flavour in my opinion.

And I have to say we dip our chips in the little pool of red juices that escape from the steak!
