I can look after myself, but I felt intimidated tonight, not because they were black but because of their demeanour...

You certainly have more than your fair share of problems.
For diversity to succeed there has to be mutual respect.
Getting abuse from a new neighbour bodes ill for future relationship. I’d ship the lot back the moment they caused trouble the ungrateful gits. Tread carefully nails.
