I'm just designing a brochure for 'the assembly of the children moving onto primary school.'
So, is it
1, Leaver's Assembly?
2, Leavers' Assembly?

Good one Factor-I seem to remember you! Unfortunately the rules say this is so....
Let's start a breakaway group!

'Apostrophe Bank'

p.s. Don't tell ed.
Should that be Apostrophe's or Apostrophes' Bank?
depends on how many sign up
I can't beleeeeeve that no one has lolled or ptsl at my hilarious post.......
LOL shoota
Ta Sibs :-)
Factor, you can do either.

E.G. something belonging to James can be James' or James's.
I agree with you that I think James's is better - I like to see it written as it is said.
If the is an apostrophe I belive it is after the s
after the x
gateaux is plural
No 2 is definitely correct, I am an apostrophe demon - this is an assembly for several leavers, so it's "Leavers' Assembly"
Stick a few in, just to be safe
defo leavers' assembly (the apostrophe is after the whole noun)
yes, pronouns can differ eg. both jones' and jones's are correct, (although i would always use the former) but no 2 is the correct answer x
Please do'nt misuse apostrophe's!
I saw a customised panel van once that said something like Tractor's, Car's, Mororbike's. The question is What?
Why don't you call it 'Assembly for our leavers.' Then you won't have to concern yourself.
I seen Northant's on the side of a van the other day...
