No WBM, I agree with you that we should stop adjusting the clocks.

However I say leave it on BST (GMT+1)

I hate the dark evenings in the winter, and would happily sacrifice an hours light in the mornings.

Rename it British Standard Time.

I simply don't understand the moans from the farming community
Moving the clocks doesn't give any more daylight, so why don't they ignore what the clocks say, and work at the best time for the available light?

there was a chicken farmer (?) on the idiot box t'other day moaning about keeping to BST all year round, saying his chickens would be laying eggs at midnight. what a pillock! The chickens don't give toss what time it is.

Hippy - am so sorry to hear about your mum....i'm sure it has messed with your sleeping and indeed every other part of your life. Be gentle on yourself and try and incorporate some nice things as often as you can into your routine. Its a rough time for you at the minute i'm sure.
