Mention of On the Buses and Please Sir in other threads reminded me of this stinker.

It wasn't very funny was it......I think it was racist as the white guy always looked a prat......oh he was......
Love Thy Neighbour was quite intelligent in a way, using humour to highlight the crass ignorance and stupidity of racists at a time when it was common to see 'room for rent - no blacks' signs.
It also showed the two women as being friends with a lot in common.
Bit like To Death Do Us Part. The object of that was to ridicule Alf for being a bigot.

Awww Cazzz, I liked Terry & June!

What was the one about 2 rival antique dealers? Windsor Davies was one of 'em? Now that was rubbish.
lol b00, never the twain

I used to hate "It aint half hot mum" "dad's army" "allo allo" there was just something about them that I couldnt cope with
hi de hi
My mum used to watch all of these.........I still loved her but it was difficult.
A lot of those so-called comedies were just poop.
That's the one Cazzz! Hated it, also really disliked the others you've mentioned too, though you're still wrong about Terry & June ;-)
terry & june was a bit pants.

i did like george & mildred though, especially the neighbours wife, phwooar !
anyone remember duty free ?

can't believe they made 3 series - must have re[eated the first one 3 times.
I loved Dad's Army and Allo Allo
Allo Allo was hilarious......
I loathed 'Allo Allo' and the 'joke' being about being a parody of wartime TV dramas - like what exactly?

It was puerile, faintly creepy, and insensitive - not a bad record for a 'comedy' show.
i hated "sorry" with ronnie corbett cringeworthy or what !!
I used to like "dear john", I have not seen that repeated , I found the constant innuendo on "allo allo" too much
I remember duty free, I so wanted to slap keith barron he was so annoying!
what about lesser known comedy/ dramas like "thats my boy" with mollie sugden and fresh fields/french fields
