Down here they sell it by the Platelet count...
Ye gods what on earth is the connection between black pudding and platelets?
Blood. Platelets are in blood, and black pudding is made of blood.
Black Pudding. Lovely stuff fried with bacon, sausages, eggs and tomato, and toast, for brekkie.
I don't think platelets would survive cooking, they'd just get mushy.
I used to buy it in Tesco cut off by the inch. Now they have switched to prepackaged and upped the price. Grrrrr.
quarter of a link, half a link or a whole link. Prefer white pudding but not many butchers sell it unless you live in Ireland.

Don't know much about Haggis but I have been told that the best tine to catch them is early morning when there is dew on the ground..Is this true?
