where is the reversing light switch located on a 1250 Zetex?

Last time I looked - on the gearbox.

most cars have the switch on the gearbox,so when you select reverse it tells the switch to put the reversing lights on

on the front off the gearbox (front off car) half way up . to check switch if faulty pull the conector off the switch and connect a hair clip or small spilt pin in across the two wirers
