Evening all,
I'm probably going to upset some folks with this thread, but it's something that I feel quite strongly about.
Do you think that if someone murders a person and is found 100% guilty of it that they should spend the next whatever amount of years in prison.......
Why keep these people in prison?.....living the life of riley, which most of them do.
I say bring back capital punishment, if they take a life, surely they should have theirs taken away too.

Yes,yes,yes,yes,yes
Certain cases get me worse than others though, you know where kids are concerned,,but yep, life should mean life and i dont mean inside i mean LOSE there life, for a lifetime in hell,,,
Depends on the circumstances...if it`s a self defence killing then no...but if it`s some nutter stabbing/shooting someone then yes
Redbel ... when you standing for election ... you got my vote

Naz xx
Mmmmmmm,i'm basing my view on a clear murder!!
Yes I agree with the sentiment entirely, but and it is a big but, it has happened before and it will surely happen again (if capital punishment ever returned) that they might, just might hang/shoot/elec the wrong person, and for that reason alone it would not be right.

Having said that, if it was a terrorist - blatantly obvious evidence etc or an assassin then yes.
i'm not sure because if i think they are 100% guilty then yes, but too many mistakes are made and that where it goes wrong, especially in the case of peophiles who in my opinionn should be put down , but unfotunatly so much can go wrong and an innocent person could die, which has happened in the states, that i think the current system is not good enough to vopr, nor would i like to be on a jury to send someone to their death

Any murder Redbel, or just one that takes your fancy?
Scenario for you :- I murder the man who coldbloodedly raped and murdered my 6 year old sister, would you advocate the death penalty for me and if not, why not?
Is murder ever justified or is it always evil?
Just make them watch back to back episodes of the Jeremy Kyle show as torture :P
*joking* I actually like it!

The reason I'm asking this question is because a good friend of ours was murdered in March for 1.30......a good family man on his way home from the pub....they will be sentenced on Monday.

I totally disagree, we do not need to kill people to feel some kind of satisfaction, what ever we do it does not change anything, we still end up with a dead victim plus a dead murderer.

If capital punishment was around REDBEL... could you be an executioner?

And also, what about those who are innocent but found guilty.... do they deserve to die. I understand you may be only thinking of people who have confessed or all evidence gets points to them, but innocent people may also die.

nox I think in that circumstance would be taken into consideration......I'm talking about someone who murders someone for no reason.
sorry Red, i hope they get what they deserve, prison can't be funny
I guess they have been downgraded cos of the CPs not having enough evidence what was the charge and what did they get away with Bez? by that i mean what have they been found guilty of?
Question Author
WM, don't be an all arse tonight.....ok I'm not the best with spelling and stuff but I think people got the gist.
Question Author

Bez..you know I'm always behind you..and in this case..I tend to agree too. Some people are evil..nothing more or less. They don't benefit anyone or society,by living. If ever released, they would re-offend.How many victims of so called "reformed" criminals, would be alive today,if..those "things" had not been sent back into society?..I'm not always so sure about the death penalty...but..a life sentence, should mean that.Removed for life, from ordinary civilisation, and no special treatment.
