My drunken mate made me die, I hadnt seen him for ages and I spotted him one Saturday afternoon in the pub. Well usually its not great when youre the only sober one. But I left the pub to go get a DVD from the local video store and he followed me. We were nearly kicked out while he started eating the pick a mix and then he knocked over a big stand of DVD, as I nearly fell on the floor laughing, we were asked to leave and he went down the wrong side of shelves and tried pushing at the window thinking it was a door! But apart from that when Im feeling down my friend tickles me so much I nearly cant breath just to make me smile. Irritating but so relaxing too. :-)
Last night my boyfriend and I were watching Hollyoaks and were in hysterics at the bad acting / storyline / just for the sake of it. I didn't wee though, I do my pelvic floor exercises! ;)
Good story 4getmenot...made me laugh out loud and I wasn't even there. Isn't it great when you get hysterics like that, and just have to give in to it? I was out with 4 friends at a local production of Calamity Jane last night. I had to sit beside a drunken, slightly smelly old man...what a joy. Anyway, before the show started, he started trying to speak to me, and persevered, despite my obvious disinterest. The clincher came when, after talking at length about the film, and subsequent musical versions he said, "and do you know, you've got the look of a young Doris Day about you". Well, all 4 of my friends, who had been listening intently and watching me squirm, actually exploded beside me (I am so far removed from a young Doris Day, you would not believe!). There was much snorting, guffawing, shaking and failed attempts to stifle giggles. Eventually they set me off, just as the old man shut up and the curtain came up. All through the first act, I couldn't even look their way, as I knew I'd lose it again. best laugh I've had since last time we all went out!

Grace great question....3 stars to you for making us all smile and remember happy times today.

Walking out of a car accessory store with my hubby, he tried to read a sign on the door, didn't see the step and sort of did a run trying to keep his balance before falling flat on his face, dropping the car battery he was carrying. I was helpless. The sign he was trying to read said "Mind the Step"

some of my best memories have happened in local theatres. a few years ago a friend had a role in a children's drama production and we were practically forced to go along on openning night and be subjected to a chorus of eight year olds belting out the hits from 'Annie'.

the thing was bloody awful.

In an attempt to rescue the evening we hit the bar during the interval and down a couple of vodkas.

then during the second half the staging fell down on the token fat kid (not meaning to be rude here..but you know the type) i burst out laughing (i have a sick sense of humour) whilst everyone else was gasping. then i felt a tap on the shoulder - her bloody mother was sitting behind me and asked me to have some decorum - that of course set all my mates off laughing.

The minute they sang the last verse of 'tomorrow' i was outta my seat; quick vodka at the bar; and home!

My boyfriend fell off the kerb at the weekend, in the high street. I, like GraceAnais, have very sick, dark humour.

It was so funny. He's 6' 5'' but disappeared from view and ended up on his face! Hee hee x

Good Stories! I was at a movie theater with my boyfriend, watching some Vampire Flick, the music was roaring and the scene was a dark dungeon with candles...very eerie. The music stops as the camera zooms closer to the coffin.........meanwhile Im sitting not with my legs crossed like a lady, but like a guy sits, with my foot on my knee but my toes were wedged in between the crack of the seats. Well this was stadium seating, so the guy infront of me had his head closer to where my foot was. Well I was getting antsy and needed to change my leg position , but I didn't want to disturb anyone around me because it was so quiet , and we all knew something scary was going to happen...so i move my foot off of the leg but my toes got stuck in the crack...so i pull a little harder (RIGHT AS THE COFFIN IS ABOUT TO OPEN) .....and BAMB I wack that back of the guys seat just as the vampire comes storming out of the coffin!!! The guy flew forward and his baseball cap flew off his head, literally scaring the absolute crap out of him!!!!! The timing could not have been any perfect!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, me and my boyfriend were laughing so hard as I whispered to the kid I was sorry. But the best part about it was that this kid was real tough looking with his hat, baggy clothes, and earings....he looked like he had seen a ghost!

one of my funniest memories was me and a friend sticking an empty kitchen roll tube through our letterbox and shouting things out to people who walked past our front door. they couldn't work out where the noise was coming from and watching their expressions just cracked me up.

Another is a time we left a porn magazine outside our house on the pavement and filmed from the upstairs window to see their reactions. it's amazing how many people attmpted to take it home or take a sneaky peek before we shouted down and let them know they'd just been caught on camera. watching the tape back was so funny.

i hasten to mention i'm in my twenties with a professional job; but you can't beat a childish sense of humour!

I was laughing out loud just now, in fact, after reading over the answers to kh_merrills 'Green Crisps' thread:-

Reading everyones answers, in the Parenting section of AB, to Ear Piercing young children. They all talk about it like its torture. It's pretty funny. And I know ear piercing younger kids (2-6yr old) is not just an American thing, but it must be much more common in the states because you wouldn't hear people talking about it like this.
