I posted a poor cover of Perfect Day other day and got ridiculed (didn't offend as I asked lol) I was thinking of bailing but the thing is 99% of my other vocal covers have receiced ok/good feedback so I thought maybe it was something wrong. I changed the key here and sung with less tension. Please let me know if the vocals are shocking or ok :)

Much better!
^Agreed. TheWinner knows what he's talking about.
Liked it. What a difference!
Did you join in, Lottie? I had a bit of a sing-a-long going on there. Love that song.
Agree with both answers. Your voice is much better on this video than on the first you posted a few days back.
I joined in. You wouldn't liked the results!! And to thinking had qualifications for my singing in my younger days! Mind you install can recognise a good voice in others.
My voice and keyboard skills obviously joined forces!!
This is better :-)
The problem with covering such a recognisable and well-loved song, is that if you don't do it right, it sounds awful. As i said in my earlier comment, your voice is much better 2nd time around. However, at about 56 secs in, and just for a couple of bars, the guitar and your tone do not appear to be in sync? It might just be me - though i have listened to it half a dozen times - i don't play. Then again, it may be you strummed a couple of 'bum' notes. Would be interested to know if you feel the same once you've listened to it again?

Hi Ken. You are right I just listened. The line "Im glad I spent it with you" is still a bit out of tune. Im sure I could fix this if I practice that vocal line a few times and listen to the notes that should be hit on the song. I think I was trying too hard on my last cover of this because I hear so much about breath support so I tried singing with more power but I failed and it backfired haha Would you say this cover is by and large ok to busk with, or should I still bail really?
If you were busking in a busy city center or market place, i'm sure few would notice your slight error - i only did so because i had the 'cans' on :-)
Busk away.
//I think I was trying too hard on my last cover of this //

I thought that on both. You have such a lovely raspy tone to your voice I think you should just chill and go for it.
This is better, but you are trying too hard to sound like 'a singer' which means your voice is not relaxed and confident.

You need more practice - to hold the notes, and reach the notes, rather than sliding on and off them.

And again - of you are going to sing and play at the same time, you need to practice your guitar a lot more - when you concentrate on your vocal, which is audible, your playing suffers.
Carry on busking and relax x
